MANY READERS, directly or indirectly influenced by the academic calendar of fall and spring semesters, look to July and August for a change of pace and the opportunity for more diverse reading than they usually have.
We think you will find that this issue of Bibliotheca Sacra makes for excellent summer reading, providing an intellectual and spiritual outing with Daniel in ancient Babylon, a walk down the streets of Philippi with Paul, and a look at life with an ancient Israelite sage. (Also the size of this journal seems about right for summer reading-Bib Sac fits nicely in a carry-on bag.)
In a world that supplies innumerable reminders of life’s uncertainties, the writings of thoughtful believers from past and present are especially valuable.
