Introducing: Central C. B. Quarterly

Central Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary of Minneapolis is proud to introduce to its many friends its new quarterly Biblical review, the Central C. B. Quarterly.

We rejoice that in the many talents God has assembled at Central C. B. Seminary He has included those which make such a publication possible. We have marvelled at the unusual way that the literature program begun by the Seminary has been received across the nation, and we believe that our combining the service of that printed ministry with the particular contribution of a Bible quarterly will be as well received and appreciated.

Thus each of the articles included in this Quarterly is so printed and so bound that a minister or Christian worker can quickly remove two staples and file each of the articles separately according to subject matter- Or those who wish to keep their copies of the Quarterly complete can order separately reprints of those articles they most want to file individually. Though this means a variety of type style in order to fit space limitations, service and useability seem preferable to beauty.

Also by combining this new publication with the present literature program, Central C. B. Seminary is able to offer introductory subscriptions at a special rate. All who subscribe at the rate of $1.00 a year will receive free the four 1958 copies; the subscription will be for the 1959 issues.

B. movement are represented in the first copy of the Quarterly, and others are being readied for future issues. Even though Conservative Baptist in outlook, we feel that the Quarterly will be of interest and importance to every Christian and especially to all of Baptist persuasion.

Take, for instance, Dr. George Carlson’s message, “Philosophy of Ministerial Education,” which he brought at the C. B. annual meetings in Los Angeles. It deals with a basic pattern evident in the New Testament, one which applies to every denominational group who recognize the importance of the New Testament. His quotations come from other groups, even the ...
