Act Of Dedication
PASTOR: To the worship of the triune Sod, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to His praise and glory
PEOPLE: We dedicate this house.
PASTOR: For worship in song, praise, and testimony; for the preaching of the Bible, God’s inspired Word; for the observance of the ordinances committed to the local church
PEOPLE: We solemnly dedicate this house.
PASTOR: For the evangelization of lost men through the preaching of the gospel of Christ; for the uplifting of a crucified, risen, and coming Savior; for the salvation of those who in faith receive Him; for missionary activities at home and abroad
PEOPLE: We confidently dedicate this house.
PASTOR: For the spiritual edification of the saints; for the fellowship of the saved; for the formation of Christian character
PEOPLE: We prayerfully dedicate this house.
PASTOR: For the comfort of those who mourn; for strength to those who are tempted; for counsel to those who are bewildered
PEOPLE: We gladly dedicate this house.
PASTOR: For the defense of the faith; for the repudiation of error; for the exaltation of the truth
PEOPLE: We purposefully dedicate this house.
PASTOR: With anticipation of God’s blessing in the future; with gratefulness for Sod’s blessing in the past
PEOPLE: We do thankfully dedicate this house.
PASTOR: As a congregation of believers we now dedicate not only this place of worship but also our own selves, to walk in humility before our Sod, to seek to be Spirit-filled and Christ-like, to be loyal to the doctrines, worship, and service conducted in this place
PEOPLE: We do sincerely consecrate ourselves and dedicate this house.
PASTOR: “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20–21).
