God’s Plan for the Human Race

Sometimes a letter or note will come across your desk that brings you back down to earth. We usually hope we are reaching and influencing the high and mighty with the Conservative Theological Journal. But then we realize we’re also being read by just common folks, who may not have a lot of biblical education, but they sure do love the Lord! Below is a letter from such a reader who lives in San Carlos, California. His theology may have much to be desired but please listen to his heart.

I liked the book A Bible Handbook to the Acts of the Apostles. I am a Bible scholar 87 years old. Please enjoy increasing your biblical literacy by learning a little extra about the future of Christianity.

I have enclosed some Bible study review material about the Temple to be built in Jerusalem and God’s plan for the human race. Please keep the material for future reference to see if, how, and when it happens as time passes. Please have lots of fun getting the material to become logical and true. Christ will return at the end of 2077 CE on the first day of the seventh millennium. Christ will return seven years after the Temple has been built.

I have sent this material to Pope John Paul II, Prime Minister Ehud Barak in Israel, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Secretary of State Albright, Boris Yelstin, Yasser Arafat, to the leaders of England, France, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Poland, India, Greece, Denmark, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, China, Japan, South Africa, Cuba, and Mexico.

We may all be surprised at who the Lord uses in His divine providence! Sincerity and enthusiasm for Christ’s coming may accomplish more than all our sophisticated teaching. I hope I have the same zeal to see Jesus at 87 (if I live so long) as this dear gentleman. “Out of the mouth of babes!” “Out of the mouth of the elderly!”
