Our Stated Purpose

Mal Couch, Editor

For some reason unknown to us, this publication has become more noticed and recognized over the last six months. This of course thrills us, because it is our desire to see this Journal flourish and expand in its influence. From the beginning, we set out to return our Christian lay and professional readership to solid articles that truly honored the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. We promised also to try not to offer what I call “egg-headish” articles that few could understand, but had the effect of wowing the super intellectuals among us. We have failed in some articles along the way, both in content and in technical production of this work. But for the most part, I believe we have strived to return our readers to substantive material that promotes shedding more light on the Scriptures. With biblical truth behind it, the CTS opposes the “isms” and philosophies that are the tools in Satan’s hands destroying our world. We stand against evolution, secular psychology, materialism, feminism, secularism, communism, atheism, and socialism. We are also concerned about certain New Age concepts that are slowly coming into some of our churches. With what we believe is scriptural support, we are concerned about the church growth movement, the excesses of the charismatic

movement, the influence of excessive mysticism, and the elevation of experience over the stabilizing effects of sound doctrine and the teaching of Scripture.

We believe in a strong church leadership, fi...
