The Tyndale Lectures

The Tyndale Lectures this year were given as follows:—

Biblical Theology: ‘God is Love as a Norm for Theology’ by the Rev. M. H. Cressey, M.A., (Minister, Presbyterian Church of England, Coventry).

Old Testament: ‘The Creation in the Old Testament’ by D. F. Payne, Esq., M.A., (Lecturer, Dept. of Biblical History and Literature, University of Sheffield).

Biblical Archaeology: ‘The Philistines’ by T. C. Mitchell, Esq., M.A., (Dept. of Western Asiatic Antiquities, The British Museum).

New Testament: ‘The Exodus in the New Testament’ by the Rev. R. E. Nixon, M.A., (Tutor, Cranmer Hall, Durham).

As usual these Lectures were delivered in Tyndale House before members of the Study Groups and visitors. The Lectures will be published in due course.

This year for the first time the Lectures were recorded on tape. We are indebted to M. G. Stanton Esq. for undertaking the recording for us. The tapes have been deposited in the Tyndale Library. It is planned that all future Tyndale Lectures will be recorded in this way.
