Tyndale Fellowship Study Groups

This summer the New Testament Study Group is to combine with the Biblical Theology Group to study Biblical Eschatology. It was felt that this subject is one on which each of the Groups will have something to say. By having a combined meeting it is hoped that each Group will stimulate the other and that the ultimate result will be more worthwhile. The dates of the meeting are July 5-8.

The Old Testament Group will meet from June 20-24. Some attention will be given to Eschatology, as is the case with the other Groups. Members will also read papers along the lines of their own interests.

Further information will be available nearer the time. Mean- while members are asked to take note of these dates and to make plans to be present if possible.

The Tyndale Lectures

The Lectures will be delivered as usual during the meetings of the appropriate Study Groups. The lecturers and their subjects are as follows:

Kenneth A. Kitchen Esq.—‘The Egyptian Background to the

Pentateuch’

The Rev. I. Howard Marshall—‘The Parables’

The Rev. Colin Brown—‘The Historical Jesus and the Jesus

of Faith’

Research Fellowships

Applications have been called for four Research Fellowships to be awarded for the academic year 1963/64. It seems fairly clear that in the past a number of promising men have been prevented from proceeding to research on account of financial difficulties. By the award of two Fellowships of £500 p.a. and two of £300 p.a. it is hoped to provide sufficient encouragement to induce a number of men to do useful research in biblical subjects.
